Velikden Cup 2020 is postponed! New dates are 4th<\/sup> to 7th<\/sup> of September 2020!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear friends, in the situation of a pandemic\nwith corona virus COVID-19, the organizing team of Velikden Cup decided to\npostpone the event for September \u2013\nbetween 4th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizing one of the biggest orienteering\nevents in Bulgaria is a huge responsibility for us and we want to act in the\nbest possible way \u2013 being both safe for all participants in the event and at\nthe same time \u2013 as convenient as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change is very unfortunate since the\ninterest towards Velikden Cup 2020 is very big and we got entries from many\nrunners representing many countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since today, 13th<\/sup> of March, until 13th<\/sup>\nof April Bulgaria is in a state of emergency and we are unable to foresee what\nthis dynamic situation will bring us so it would be extremely irresponsible to believe everything will be calm and safe in late April (17th<\/sup>-20th<\/sup>).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why after a discussion about the\npossibilities for holding the event on other dates in normal and safe\natmosphere for all participants we decided to hold Velikden Cup 2020 between 4th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> of\nSeptember<\/strong>. These dates are convenient for all Bulgarians since the children\nare not going to school yet and 7th<\/sup> of September is a non-working\nday and we will be able to have our full planned program \u2013 4 racing days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All registered runners until now will be able to take part in the competitions in September without any additional confirmation. We will of course extend the entry deadlines until 25th<\/sup> of August 2020.
